Libor Bouček is our first presenter. You might know him already; he was the host of Eurovision Young Dancers in 2015. He is no stranger to presenting live broadcast events as he also presented several sports competitions such as the European Athletics Championships, the UEFA Champions League, the Davis Cup Final and the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2015. You might also have seen him on the stage of national entertainment programmes as well; he presented The Voice of CzechoSlovakia, Miss Czech Republic, Let’s Dance and Fort Boyard.
“Dance is the most elegant movement possible, and I am one of its greatest admirers. However, well aware of my limits, I remain an enthusiastic but passive consumer, rather than an active engager. Ever since I hosted a season of the Slovak version of the Let’s Dance competition, I have been in awe of the art of dancers. They are unbelievable,” says Libor Bouček about his relationship to dance.
Meet Angeé Klára Svobodová
The co-host at the 2017 Eurovision Young Dancers is Angeé Klára Svobodová, a dancer, trainer and choreographer. Angeé got into modern gymnastics when she was six, and at the age of twelve, she joined the Echo Praha dance group. After that, she studied dance and choreography at the Broadway Dance Center in New York to later contribute to The Freakshow, the JAD Dance Company and Kanye West’s world tour.
In her role as co-host, Angeé will assist Libor and will give the television audience peeks behind the scenes. “I’m really looking forward to this year’s show because it’s teeming with fantastic talented dancers. As standards are very high this year, my wish for all the dancers is that, first and foremost, they enjoy the whole competition and give the best they’ve got,” she said.
