Denise Buttigieg will represent Malta at Eurovision Young Dancers 2017.
Denise Buttigieg was born in 2001 and is currently the principal dancer at the Naupaca Dance Factory. She joined when she was nine years old and has had major roles in all of Naupaca's main productions. She has performed in shows such as Alice’s Adventures Underground, The Dream, The Death of Snow White, Immaculate, Divina and After. In these productions she has danced alongside international artists such as Stepan Pechar, Sergei Keylik and Francesco Mariottini.
Denise won two scholarships to study abroad. In 2014 she studied at the Academia Antonella Bartolacci and in 2016 she went to Turin with Pompea Santoro’s Eko Dance Project. Denise also won the MIDCE teen contemporary solo competition in March 2015. Denise’s most recent BTDA exam is the Advanced Foundation in Jazz which she passed with a Platinum Distinction in June 2016.

In Prague Denise will perform a contemporary dance called Q.W. It will be accompanied by music of the same title, composed by Mario Sammut (aka Cygna). Denise's dance will be choreographed by Joeline Tabone.
